P1/M Fire Alarm System for Warehouse

Sometimes Fire Alarms aren’t just important for protecting the life of the occupants of the building, but for the protection of the building or the stock inside the building. By installing this P1/M system at a warehouse on farmland local to our office; Foster Fire ensured that the Fire Brigade is alerted as soon as the Fire Alarm System detects any smoke within the warehouse, giving them the warning and time needed to save as much of the building and stock as possible!

An important factor of this P1/M system is the remote monitoring, which is installed in compliance with the latest British Standards (BS5839 Part 1:2025). We use Southern Monitoring Services for our remote monitoring accounts, and ensure that the Fire Alarm System is monitored for both a Fire Alarm activation but also a Fault Signal so that if there is a power failiure; it can be corrected while the Fire Alarm still has enough back up battery to protect the premises.

There are challenges with protecting warehouses, especially ones 10 metres in height, but our IPAF qualified engineers made it look effortless in installing high level smoke detection throughout to a P1/M Standard.
