West Midlands School
Foster Fire were happy to assist outside of our normal working area, for a client who knows how important it is to get the best and most attentive service when it comes to supplying, installing and commissioning a Fire Alarm System. Foster Fire were asked to carry out the works due to their professional and knowledgeable response, despite other local companies also offering their quotations. By providing a fixed cost for the installation we promised a compliant and fully reliable system with no changing to the pricing during the works, giving the school confidence that the works would be completed well within budget.
All works were undertaken outside of normal school hours, so the school could have the system fitted during normal term dates. Our engineers were diligent at leaving the school clean, safe and functional following their night’s work, so the school could resume normal operations the following day.
This system comprised of 2 networked Advanced MX Pro 5 Panels with Hochiki ESP Devices, offering three tones for Fire Alarm, Class Change, and Lockdown. External sounders were provided for Fire Alarm and Lockdown, so that students and staff outside in the playground areas would be alerted to a potentially serious situation as soon as possible.
By providing special touches like colouring the outside lockdown sounders a different colour to the main Fire Alarm Sounders, programming certain sounders to activate on class change and others not to, and investigation options; the school has a top of the range Fire Alarm System, professionally installed to the current BS5839 Part 1:2025 standards.
By offering 12 months warranty and maintenance following the commissioning of the system, the school are in safe hands going forward, and can always rely on us for any queries or further works they need completing.
